California's
Gold, the only statewide television series in California about California,
is a visual travel log featuring interesting places to visit in the golden
state. The 30 minute series is produced and hosted by Huell Howser (right).
In addition to California's Gold, Huell produces
other Gold-related spinoffs, including
California's Green, California's Golden Coast,
California's Golden Parks, and California's
Water. KCRT airs selected episodes of those series
in California's Gold regular time slots.
Along with KCRT Television, the program airs on all 13 PBS affiliates in
the state and is used in over a thousand schools and libraries as a resource
for people to learn more about our state's rich history, cultural diversity
and natural wonders.
