WEEKLY SERIES
ON KCRT PRODUCED BY TEENS

The Green Screen
is EarthTeam’s newest teen adventure --  into the world of television production and career education --  as local teens, grade 7 – 12th, produce an environmental education show for their peers in the Bay Area.

Each half hour episode will highlight various EarthTeam projects, with the goal of inspiring Bay Area teens by documenting the environmental activities of other teens.

The lineup for the show’s first season includes coverage of “Our School, Our Planet,” a video project that focuses on school-based recycling efforts; eco-travel on environmental study trips; indoor air quality and asthma; and the urban environment. Each episode includes interviews with professionals, students, and community organizations who are actively involved with the issues.

With studio segments produced at KCRT, station director Cecily McMahan and her staff guide the students through the production of producing a monthly series, after they study the issues and prepare their presentations with Lana Husser, EarthTeam’s Multimedia Director.

Contact Lana@earthteam.net with ideas for future episodes, or for more information about how to participate in The Green Screen.
