Pablo, CA, the center is the home of the award-winning
musical group, Los Cenzontles.

Pasajero: A
Journey of Time and Memory
[1 hour]
The Entire
Documentary:
A bilingual
one-hour documentary that follows a group of young
Mexican-American musicians who join their mariachi
maestro on his homecoming to Mexico. Together they
perform a forgotten style of roots mariachi music and
dance, and meet people who embody the spirit of old
Mexico. Pasajero is a heartfelt reminder of the vital
role that music plays in defining our identities.
Los Cenzontles at El Campanil Theater

Los Cenzontles
perform regional Mexican music and dance at the historic
El Campanil Theater in Antioch, CA, in 2007.
Cuatro Maestros
and
Los Cenzontles at the Getty Museum

Two back-to-back
specials:
The Cuatro Maestros Touring Festival was a music and dance performance festival by
four celebrated elder master folk artists representing their respective Mexican and Mexican-American regional traditions accompanied by members of their groups as well as Los Cenzontles. The
second special was recorded in April 2002 at The Getty
Museum in Los Angeles.

Los Cenzontles Mexican Arts Center is proud to release
this historic footage of the legendary ranchera singer
Yolanda del Rio and Chicano singer/songwriter
Lalo Guerrero (who died in 2005 at the age 88) along
with youth group Los Cenzontles. The 5-day
Festival brought youth groups from Mexico and throughout
California to celebrate and document the passing of
Mexican traditions.
