SciFiles™ is a series of instructional programs
consisting of broadcast, print, and online elements.
Emphasizing standards-based instruction, Problem-Based
Learning, and science as inquiry, the series seeks to
motivate students in grades 3-5 to become critical
thinkers and active problem solvers.
The stars are six "Tree House Detectives," who are
continually faced with challenging problems they must
solve by using their mathematics, science, and
technology skills. Along the way to solving each
problem, they meet a number of interesting adult
characters who help them with their research.
